Some examples of what you will see (varies by location):
- NuWool® Energy Star® Rated Insulation
Blown insulation
made from recycled newspaper that decreases heating and cooling costs
up to 40%. NuWool is also mold resistant and dramatically reduces
noise transmission through floors and walls.
- Geothermal HVAC System
Geothermal technology is the most efficient
and environmentally friendly heating and cooling option available. It uses
the earth's constant core temperature to heat and cool the home. Homeowners
can expect up to a 60% cost savings on heating, cooling and hot water.
- Panasonic® Whisper GreenTM 2-speed, Continuous
Run Fan
Energy Star
rated, continuously running fan removes moisture from the air and
costs less than $7.00 a year to operate. This fan is so quiet
you can barely hear it run!
- Air Filtration System
This home's HVAC filters with
a minimum MERV rating of 9. The higher the MERV rating, the better
the filter is at capturing particles in the air like pet dander,
dust, viruses, pollen and insecticide. Most new homes have a filter with
a MERV rating of 6. MERV: Minimum Efficiency Reporting
Value.
- Low Flow Toilets
and Sinks
Dual-flush toilets and low-flow sinks use 30% less

- Low VOC Paint
VOC's release pollution-causing chemicals
into the air and are a major contributor to ozone pollution. Low
VOC paint releases fewer VOC's during and after application, preserving
the environment and improving indoor air quality. VOC's can also
agitate breathing conditions, such as asthma. VOC: Volatile Organic Compounds

recycled materials and is recyclable after use. It also lowers VOC
emissions versus traditional vinyl flooring. VOC: Volatile Organic
Compounds
- Shaw® Carpet

Energy Star rated dishwasher uses 40% less
water and 30% less energy than traditional dishwashers.
- High Efficiency Washer
Energy Star rated washer uses
40% less water and energy than traditional washers.

energy.

green certified factory. Kemper® cabinets are produced locally, reducing
the fuel needed to transport materials to the job site and having
less impact on the environment.
- Hardie Panel® Siding
This siding is made from cement,
is more sustainable than vinyl siding and is guaranteed for 50 years.
Hardie Panel® is also termite resistant, non-combustible and made from
natural materials that are low in toxicity.
